How to Use this Site

The "UK On-line Sales Call Manual" was developed as a resource for Australian product suppliers to have access to up-to-date UK operator contact details; location maps; market information and useful links to assist when travelling to this market.

Appointment Scheduling:
The "UK & Ireland Tour Operators" section lists the main office of each tour operator where you will usually find the Marketing and Product teams in addition to their agents.

Many of the operators have multiple offices throughout the region so please keep this in mind when preparing your itinerary particularly for a training focussed visit to the market. You may like to include a number of other major cities including Manchester; Leeds; Glasgow; Birmingham; Cheltenham and Bristol. Most of the operators list their agency locations on their website, which you can access via the link on the individual profile pages.

In addition to the Tour Operator information, we have included for your convenience a Google Earth file of retail agencies for you to download and access when you commence your training appointment scheduling. These agencies currently include: First Choice Holiday Hypermarkets; Courtney Air Savers; Dawson & Sanderson; Thomson; Flight Centre; Thomas Cook; Bath Travel; Harvey World Travel and STA Travel.

Tour Operator Brochures:
As mentioned on the welcome page, we are also proud to advise we have added to this site a link to on-line brochures/PDF files in an effort to reduce the "carbon footprint". We realise how useful access to Tour Operator brochures can be (and we suggest you review them prior to your visit to the market) and this initiative not only allows you immediate access, but eliminates the necessity of sending original brochures to TA and STO Australian offices for industry to review.

In-Market Activity:
We encourage you to be in contact with your STO prior to your visit, and where possible, meet with them at the start of your itinerary for an update on in-market campaigns and activities, particularly if you are meeting with Marketing and Product Managers. It is also useful for you to know what the agents are selling as there are often incentives associated with larger promotions and/or campaigns.

Please refer to the Events section on this site for information on in-market trade events and contact your STO for information on various STO initiatives including product missions and training events.
